this morning's commute was spent being mad at black people.

the groundbreaking ceremony for the national museum of african american history and culture was this morning.  it's going up near the monument -- which is the way you turn left onto constitution from 14th.

that entrance was closed (and lined with men in suits and frowny faces), so i had to turn left by the willard intercontinental, which is lousy with cabs and tourists walking to the white house (across the street).

stupid black people!  with your contributions to america!  at least that museum isn't being built by slaves (unlike the buildings surrounding it).

Note to self:  Never do anything museum worthy to avoid angering HMO's descendents with a personal hovercraft jam.

I'm pretty sure a lot of poeple would consider things like the Smithsonian to be more inclusive of white history than of Black history.

Also, you're inferring that I'm WT. I am most decidedly not WT. B!tchy and sometimes crass, yes.

We can always hope that some smart a$$ curator at the new museum puts up a tiny exhibit at the end of a dead end hallway thanking the whities that helped make historical event xyz possible.  Or maybe they can declare a special white history day when visiting school groups will be treated to samples of white people foods like bland noodle casseroles and Mountain Dew.  Hee!

No, I'm just saying that people who get all up in arms about people making a big deal about Black History Month or Hispanic History Months because there is no White HIstory Month are WT. You know, the ones that fail to recognize that in the day to day happenings of society we generally remember more about the accomplishments of white people than any other minority that has made a significant contribution to society. Everyone knows Thomas Edison, very few remember Booker T. Washington.
