How is the potty training going?

Re: *taw*

  • It's going really well.  She's going exclusively in the toilet (no more potty chair) and we haven't had an accident in a long time.

I keep the potty chair in the van now, with a container of clorox wipes, a few plastic grocery bags and a roll of toilet paper.  Just in case.  It actually came in handy the other night at the ball park.

She's still in pull-ups overnight.  She only wakes up dry maybe one time per week.

    How's it going for you?
  • She's doing really well with #1, but we still have struggles (in general) with #2 and that's the only reason she's in pull-ups.   She's dry every night and the only recent accident (#1) that she's had was because she couldn't get up onto the toilet seat in time.
We were traveling over the weekend and she did incredibly well.   I have a little fold-up potty seat that I keep in her bag (with clorox wipes!!!) and she had no problem using public restrooms as long as she had that.
I think, for my kid, she wasn't going to do this unless she was ready.  Now that she's ready, it's going great.

    This is us exactly.

DD also has no issues with going in public restrooms, which I appreciate.

I'm glad to hear it's going smoothly.  It has been awesome to only buy diapers for one, so I can imagine how nice it will be when we're not buying them at all.
