Here's a thing I hate

Our county now has a siren for thunderstorm warnings.

It's gone off twice today and at 11:00PM Easter night.

I feel like this siren is excessive and unnecessary.  It's farking Iowa.  This siren will be going off constantly this spring and summer.

    There is one that goes off every Friday at noon here. Scared me shitless the first time I heard it.

    Same here.  The stupid thing is, when it goes off, all the dumbasses in the neighborhood go outside and look up at the sky so they can see the tornado.
