Normandy Farms vs Radnor Hotel... Help!

I am having a difficult time trying to make a final decision on a reception venue.  I am deciding between Normandy Farms in Blue Bell, PA and The Radnor Hotel in St. David's, PA.Both venues have a hotel on location, which will be good for my fiances family, who are all coming from out of town.  Any helpful advice would be greatly appreciated!  Thank you so much!  :)

I'm getting married at Blue Bell CC (sister property of Normandy Farm) - but there are several other girls getting married at NF on this board too. I looked at a LOT of venues and I was pretty picky, but found that BBCC offered everything I was looking for. On the other hand - my CW had her reception at Radnor and was very happy as well. The one thing I have heard is that it is an odd-shaped room (long and narrow), so if you have a lot of guests, that could be an issue with people sitting at opposite ends of the room. My advice would be to figure out what aspects of the wedding are most important (is it food, cost, location, decor, etc etc)? And then which venue will give you your dream wedding? :-) GL!

I'm getting married at Normandy Farm in two weeks!  I can let you know afterwards how the whole experience went, but up to this point everyone I've worked with has been just wonderful.  NF was the very first venue I visited when I looked for where to have my wedding, and I fell in love immediately.  Nowhere else seemed to compare.  In my opinion, the atmosphere and uniqueness of Normandy Farm definitely beat the Radnor Hotel.  The food is also AWESOME at NF...I'm not sure how it is at Radnor. Just my opinion, as I haven't really worked with the staff there and didn't look at it in-depth for my own wedding. Let me know if you have any specific questions about Normandy!

I also considered Radnor Hotel. Agree with pp that the room is oddly shaped. If you have 200 ppl, they will be separated completely in half by the dance floor. I would suggest going to visit the venue. If the room was more square, I would have definitely booked.

Radnor was my 2nd choice. We choose the Marriott instead for the convenient location to our church, and also that the guest rooms were recently updated.
