I arrived, my visitor for my first meeting was early. Two of my people didn't show up until 20 minutes after the meeting was supposed to start--one of them went to the wrong conference room, the other saw him there and assumed that was where they were supposed to be, nobody bothered to check the actual meeting invitation, and those two dummies sat there doing nothing for 20 minutes before anyone thought to see where they were supposed to be.
Stopped by graphics to find someone from QA telling this insane story about how one of her coworkers called her while wasted last night and she felt really awkward and didn't even know how he got her number, and apparently he's been doing this to a lot of people, showing up at people's houses, asking for money, etc. Our admin stopped by to tell QA that her boss was looking for her.
I stopped by our admin to thank her for setting things up for my meeting, and she misunderstood and thought I was thanking her for getting QA out of graphics, and went on this whole insane rant about how much time QA spends running her mouth in graphics, yada yada. Um, okay.
Got back to my office (in another building) and New Guy tells me he needs purchasing to order more of XYZ, I tell him I'll sign off, how much does he need, and he says he doesn't know. Dude. How is purchasing supposed to know how much to order if you don't know? He doesn't think ahead, at all.
I'm trying to explain that I need to know how much I'm approving before I'll sign, and my phone rings. It's admin. She wants to apologize for going off about QA...and then she proceeds to go off about QA again. Whatever.
What is going on, y'all? Is it that comet I've been hearing about? Has the time change messed with everyone's brains? Is everyplace else this crazy right now?
