Wedding Woes

AW: Technology update

My TiVo Premiere is up and running and connected to my gorgeous new LED tv!

The picture quality is FREAKY.  FREAKY, I tell you!  It probably didn't help that I was sitting about 18" from the giant tV (it's getting wall-mounted later today), but hot damn!  Ossum.

I'm so psyched1  IDK how we're going to leave this gorgeous setup to go on vacation on Friday.

dude, you need to watch something with lots of SFX or explosions -- either something from pixar or iron man or something.

    it will CHANGE YOUR LIFE.

ossum. I will have to see what Netflix has for streaming.  I don't think they have authorization to stream anything from pixar, though.  Oh well.

Turns out you can get "UP" on netflix streaming. I'll have to check for other pixar stuff.

National Treasure was on while the cable guy was here.  No explosions, but plenty of car chases and shooting and shattering glass.  Wow.

And zzilla, it wasn't so terrible.  My parents did give this to us as an Xmas gift, but we would have done it anyway.  We've been shopping for a while, but in the end our procrastination paid off, because we got last year's floor model LED for the same price we were considering paying for a plasma just a few months ago.  It is half as thick and tons more energy efficient.  Picture quality is ossum, too, obviously, though I believe there are some pros/cons still compared to plasma and LCD, depending on your viewing environment and typical needs (gaming, movies, etc.)

Believe me, the "last year's model" + "floor model" was a critical component. The new version of ours is selling for $3500.  Notsomuch. Especially since we're mostly watching yo gabba gabba. :)
