When I mentioned adoption, she told me about some mutual friends of ours who are also looking to adopt. I sent an email to them (well, him - I am closer to the male partner in the couple) telling them about our situation. It would be nice to go through this with another couple - to have someone to comiserate with. Especially this guy, as he is funny as all get out and would be able to provide some comic relief.
Her baby is very cute and very happy. He has the biggest head I have ever seen on any baby. She is back to her pre-baby weight and smoking as much as she ever did. She is still poor mouthing their situation, but her H has an ipad, a $300 putter and gold clubs that cost a thousand dollars. I think they are doing just fine.
