I'm still pretty miserable. Thank you (everyone) for the kind words last night. I showed the fb thread to H and he cried. He has been so amazing. He's being more pessimistic/realistic than I am, but also very strong and confident that everything will be okay eventually. I, on the other hand, feel like the only way this will get better is if the test results are negative and it turns out this was all just a big mistake.

I had a long talk with God last night while I couldn't sleep, and told him if this is a test I fail, and I am just not strong enough. I don't want to be the poor brave one. I can't.

Thank you for the link, too. I bookmarked it, but I'm not ready to read it yet.

Dukis - I know that feeling, about not being strong enough. You are NOT alone. Nico Leg has my number and my permission to give it to you if you ever want to chat. I know it isn't the same issue, but some of the themes are the same.

Crying does not mean you are weak.  You have the strength for this.  You also have a lot of interweb friends here to help support you.

All of you whose numbers I just got are about to get a picture of Herbert sent to you. She doesn't like me to be sad so she's extra snuggly today. If you don't get it, blame Hmonkey for sending me the wrong number.

And thanks, again, for everything. The only IRL people I've said anything to are my boss because I had to skip work last night and 2 friends who I had to cancel dinner plans with tonight, and with them I've been really vague. Being able to talk to you guys has helped more than you know.

and internet friends live in different time zones so if you are awake at night or early in the morning there is always someone to talk to.

you also don't have to look them in the face so they don't see you pass eye water into your weakness tissues.

or some of them can bring lots of Ben and Jerrys to your house when they're back in town next weekend.

But you have to put on clothes for that.
