Ok, I'll try to keep this is short & to the point as possible. First off, I JUST got engaged, yay me! BUT, I feel the need to keep it to ourselves for a while, for several reasons.
One, my fiancee's best friend got married 2 wks ago, AND my cousin was married last week. Neither my fiancé or I want to steel their thunder by announcing ours, we'll have our moment on our wedding day, but for now I want them to enjoy theirs.
Second, I have a friend that 'thinks' she's gonna just take over and plan my entire wedding (granted, it's going to be a small one). We really don't want her involved because of the fact that she criticised the last 2 weddings very crucially.
Third, since we're having a small wedding, we don't want to announce it because very few people are going to be invited and I don't want people questioning me why.
I would LOVE to shout out my engagement to the world (or Facebook, lol) but we really can't or shouldn't because of the above reasons.
Any advise, words of comfort, or a 'congrats' would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance
