Wedding Woes

the midwife said no to stripping this early

so kat might end up having hers before me :-P

Everything is good and they'll see me next week unless I have a baby before then.

(that line of thinking makes me nervous :-P)

As my mom puts it, "the uterus doesn't read the books. It has no idea of the time frame and it just does what it's supposed to when it's supposed to."

Good luck!!! Buffy is almost here!

I'm not surprised they wouldn't strip now.  You don't really want that anyway.

Do you have a contact person?

I do actually need a contact person...I'll take that to FB :-)

    I'm OK w/ waiting, I'm just impatient.
(I'm due Thurs--my ticker refuses to update/be corrected).
I'm trying hard not to be stupid and impatient.  But I am indeed impatient.

Buffy is on her own timeframe though and, unless she's being stupid, I defer to her.

<div>Zsa, it's when checking for dilation, the midwife, doc, etc. uses a finger to actually try and separate the bag of water slightly away from the cervix. Causes prostaglandins to be released and in a women whose body is ready can help get labor going.</div>

yeah, it sounds scarier than it is--because, really, they're in there anyhow.
It isn't breaking the water or anything REALLY invasive--just...poking around.
