What do I do?

OH MY GOSH! My day has just gotten better and better LET ME TELL YOU! So, it startes out with my relative tells me that my father had took her aside and explained how he refuses to pay for ANYTHING at my wedding. (reminding you he has not told me that). This all goes back to how I'm "disrespectful". First off I never asked for a dime from any one... My mom was the one who told me that they will give me a buget to work in and anythign extra I'd have to get.... As greatful as any bride I was excited... YA UNTIL NOW!  (all of this happend about a week ago but came out today!)

I know alot can change in a year however, I am still stressing over it now!

Since your mother told you that they would help you (I am assuming your parents are together), it is time for you to touch base with her about the budget.  Then I would start using this money first in case your dad gets cold feet.  Since she stated this to you, I would just do a low key "Hey mom, I am getting together some ideas and wondering what budget you have come up with so I can start nailing down those plans and figuring out what I will need to come up with."

Plan your wedding with the assumption that they are giving you $0.  Then if they do give you any money, consider it a nice bonus. Put it in savings, house downpayment, honeymoon perks, or some combination thereof.

This....Come up with your own budget, and you and your FI get to saving money toward your wedding & marriage.

i totally understand where you are coming from! planning and paying for a wedding is hard.  my fh and i were just going to elope because it was so pricy so to stop us his parents said they would pay for the wedding ( i said no but they said i had no choice)....now they backed out indirectly and claim they have no money.  so now my fh and i are taking the planning back over and having a unique and different wedding that wil cost about $5000 or so
