First some background: it's has been incredibly hot in Ohio, as it has been almost everywhere. On Saturday it was over 100 degrees. Air conditioning can barely keep up.
DH and I had a last minute offer from a set of Eva's grandparents to watch her overnight. Awesome! We decided to see a movie, go out to dinner, and then (unless we were too tired because we're old people who don't get out much) we would go see a second movie.
So we get to the theater - our favorite one, which is a little out of our way, but we like how friendly they are and their prices are slightly lower than everyone else. We buy our tickets for the 7:00 showing of Ted. After we purchase the tickets, the little brat at the ticket booth said "Oh, I should probably tell you that the A/C isn't working in the theater that's showing Ted at 7:00". Um. No. We will not be doing that. So the punk had to refund our money, then we bought tickets to the 8:00 Ted. It all took way too long. At no point did he say "you can go into the theater and if it's too uncomforable we'll refund your money" or "due to the inconvenience, here are some bucks for the concessions" nothing like that. Little jerk.
We ended up going to dinner first, seeing Ted at 8:00 and then snuck into Rock of Ages at 10:00. That was the first time that I have ever done something like that and I did not feel bad at all. Especially since Rock of Ages was stupid and I would have been mad if I spent money on it. Well, at least the music was good.
