Wedding Woes

Wedding Party Woes!

Hey Ladies,
I need some major help and could use your opinions. So, my fiance's dad just got remarried and his wife has a stepdaughter that is 10 years old. I feel that I need to incorporate her into the wedding somehow. I am not close enough to her to have her be a bridesmaid (nor do I want her to be a bridesmaid) but, I don't know where else to have her in the wedding. Not having her in the wedding is not an option because it would crush her and I would be hearing about it from her mother since my fiance's younger sister is in the wedding. The girl also has some self esteem issues and I wouldn't want to hurt her feelings. I had considered having her as a flower girl but I kinda feel like she is too old. Do you think that this is the case or do you guys have any other ideas of where I could put her in the wedding?

Well, she could be a junior bridesmaid. That's a step up from flower girl, not quite a bridesmaid. She's might be too young to handle a reading so that's probably not an option... I think Jr BM is your best bet.

    Hope that helps!

She probably is too old for flower girl, but maybe noe.  I think jr bridesmaid would be nice too.  My guess is a pretty dress and hanging close to the bride would be plenty fun for the little girl.  FWIW, I don't think she is too young for a reading.

Would you feel comfortable going to the mom and laying it out there?  Just let her know that you really want her daughter to be part of this, but you aren't sure what would be best.
