Photo Booth - Table Instruction for Guests?

Anyone have any good ideas for a little note/card to put on the tables explaining the photo booth to the guests?  Looking for something clever that will motivate them to participate and let them know they get to take some photos home with them that night.  Thanks!

Re: Photo Booth - Table Instruction for Guests?

  • I went to a wedding that had a photobooth. People figured out what to do when they walked into the cocktail hour and saw the photobooth sitting there.

Unless your guests are total idiots, they will figure it out just fine without instructions from you.

  • I don't think you need instructions really.  If you have a DJ or Emcee, you could just have them make a quick announcement but really, I think your guests will figure it out just fine.

  • Are you hiring the photobooth, or DIYing it?  Many companies provide an attendant with the photobooths they rent.  You can always put a small sign near the booth that lets people know that they can take a strip of photos home with them.

But people tend to follow the example of people who appear to be having fun, not written instructions on their table.  If you're really worried about it, ask your WP to take a turn in the photobooth at some point during the night.  If your guests see other people using it, they'll figure it out.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • You don't need instructions.  Adults know what to do with it.
  • I'm going to Ditto everybody else here. My mother, hand-to-God, can't figure out how to work an ATM, and even she knows what to do with a photobooth.

If you fire a WP member, you're against America.

  • I know that people know how to use a photo booth but I want to encourage them to actually do so with the incentive that they get to take a picture home with them....they're not just doing it for the bride & groom.
  • If your guests want to do the photobooth, they will.  If they don't, nothing you can write on a little sign will convince them otherwise.

  • Our photobooth printed out two strips- one for them to keep, one to put in the guestbook.  Between the other guests doing it, the attendant for the photobooth there for instructions, and a quick announcement by the DJ, most people figured it out.  I still didn't get EVERYONE in my guestbook, but enough did it that it made a really awesome keepsake for us.  I don't think it can hurt to have a little sign that says "take as many pictures as you like, just be sure to leave one in our guestbook!"
  • I think thatit is a considerate touch to let your guests know about what is going on. Our venue is large and the photo booth is going to be in the bararea which is seperate from the dining room, so we are including a note at the bottom of the menu card: "Grab your friends and visit the photo booth in the bar area! Leave us a copy and take one home."
  • I am also having a photo booth at my wedding! I am so excited about it!!  We are buying photo stip frames from ebay that will fit the photos.  We are going to use these as favors and as our place cards.   If you go online there are tons of cute poems you can use too. Hope this helps!
