Menu cards

So I really like the idea of menu cards and would love to have them but I don't know how to do it when the guests have alredy preselected.  It is a 4 course menu so I think descriptions would be nice since they are only getting a choice of the main course.  But even the main course they are just being given a protein options so I think the description would be nice.  I just don't know how to state it on the menus.  I am just doing escort cards to tables, not seats.  I am afraid to write choice of x or y in the main course because what if people try and change what they already RSVP'd with?  Any suggestions?

  • You could say:

    Options of:

    Chicken
    Meat
    Fish

    and

    Cake

    Coffee/Tea/Water
  • in our invitation we put in meal choices so we have an approxmate number if beef is more popular than chicken. when i do make up the menu cards for our table i am putting both meat options so people can see and try it off someone else if they wanted to. who doesnt like to shard. plus ours is going to be family style serving not plated. we still have to find out what the veg meal is, i am not 100% on if anyone we are inviting is a vegetarian or not.

  • if the guests have to RSVP with their choices put the menu in witht he rsvp card so they'll know exactly what they'll get=which cut of chicken, boneless or bone in, which sauce, how it's cooked, which sides etc....

if your guests have already chosen their meal when they rsvpd there is absolutely no point to a menu card since they can't order from it.
