Dedicating Songs

I had an idea last night to ask the DJ to dedicate a song for my groom, and asked him if he would pick one out to dedicate to me during the reception. He says it's cheesy and gave me a really hard time about doing it. I'm sure he'll do it if I really push the issue but I was wondering, have you seen this before? (I don't imagine it's a very original idea.)

Honestly, I would agree with your fiance.  Especially since you are already having a first dance song, I would assume? Maybe your fiance doesn't feel comfortable showcasing his feelings for you through song, and to feel forced to do it is going to make him stressed.  For optional personal touches like this, I feel like unless you're both on the same page, forget it!
