Inviting extra people to the reception is a breach of etiquette as it gives the impression that those folks aren't important enough for anything other than buying a gift. Not saying that the OP is doing that though.

Something along the lines of "As first time as husband & wife Mr. & Mrs. NEW LAST NAME!!!!"

Oh my, i didnt even think about that!!! lol. I really dont know how it will be. We're getting married in the same spot as the reception so there wont be anyone there who wasnt at the ceremony. However, it is something im going to have to discuss with my groom.. good question!

Apparently I am in the minority here because I'm not chaning my last name.  So when we are introduced at the end of the ceremony or into the reception (not sure which yet) it will be "Ladies and gentlemen, for the first time as husband and wife, MyFirst & HisFirst."

I didn't change my name.  At the end of the ceremony, it was MyFirst and HisFirst, Husband and Wife.  At the reception, it was Mr. and Ms. MyFirst MyLast and HisFirst HisLast.  I wanted to be annouced with my name so that people would know it hadn't changed.
