**Ideas for a Newbie??**

Hello everyone! I wanted to introduce myself as i am a relative newbie who has been lurking on the boards for a few months now and is newly engaged. FI and I have set a tentative wedding date of July 10,2010 and are just entering the planning process...So far I have found some great recs on here for things like photogs and DJs (which I definitely plan to look into asap) but I have yet to find any good recs for hair/makeup in the area. Does anyone have any suggestions for hair/makeup that they haved used or plan to use in the Montgomery County/Phila area? I am planning to pay for 5 bridesmaids updos and my own hair and makeup (and give them the option to pay for makeup if they would like to have it done)...I apologize if this has already been discussed and perhaps I have missed out on a thread. I would greatly appreciate ANY and all help that you ladies could offer on this...Thanks so much!!

I used my regular salon for my hair - Sevan in Conshohocken Maike up - Angela Demara. She did a great job!

Megan Cahill - Hair Cindy - Make up ( I forget the website but I'm sure other girls will rec. her as she's awesome). Bella angel is fantastic, but since I'm paying for hair/make up for my entire bridal party (6 + mom) after 8 people, it was too much.

My hairdresser is in Delco - doesn't travel - so won't help you. Make-up: Dana Persia - www.dpimageconsulting.com She did a fantastic job on everyone (me, 8 BMs and mom). She travels to you and works quickly, but sticks around for a bit to make sure everyone is happy with their look. If you search for her on the Knot, my face is the thumbnail :)

My wedding is tomorrow, so you'll be able to see pics soon :) Using Meghan Cahill for hair and Jill from Face the Occasion for Makeup.  Had fantastic trials for them both, and they come to you day-of.

My hair and makeup vendors were my favorite vendors:Megan Cahill for hair (PIB of trials)Cheekadee for makeup I booked Cheekadee after she did my makeup for my boudoir shoot with Kamila Harris.  I cancelled another artist at the last minute and booked her when I found out she was available.I don't have a married bio up yet, but hopefully will soon.

Wow! You girls move fast! Thanks for all of your great recommendations! I probably should've mentioned that I am planning somewhat of a "budget" wedding... but aren't we all? Are the vendors that travel to your home usually more expensive? Or do you find them to be reasonable?? As I mentioned, I plan to pay for my 5 bridesmaids (which I realize isn't a huge bridal party compared to most) but I am still looking for something that won't put me in the poor house (but still look fab!)PS - Thanks for the warm welcome and the congrats!! =) i love forward to seeing all of your "after" pics!PPS - Any June 10 weddings planned??

Cindy is much much less if you go to her, but still the most resonable make up person I've seen that comes to you.

I am using Cindy too. She was by far the most reasonable, even coming out to you. I had my trial with her a few weeks ago and could not be happier. Her website is www.dylanmichaelcosmetics.com
