Matted E-Pic as "Guest Book"

Hi everyone!Ok, so I DON'T want to do the BORING guest book with people signing it and then it's just eventually going to be put up in a drawer at home and collect dust.Instead I would LOVE to get my fav e-pic matted and put up at the reception entrance to be signed. Afterwards we plan to frame it and put it up in our home.Just wondering if anyone did this? How did it turn out? what size pic did you use and what size matte did you put around it? Most important....was it cheap?If you have a pic of it could you post it or email it to meThanks

It is very very very common as in more then half of the weddings I have seen in the last 5 years. they sell frames at micheals with the big matting for signing ect

My Aunt and Uncle did it at their wedding 10yrs ago and it's still hanging in their office, looks great

Perfect...THANKS LADIES. I'm getting the mat from Michael's and I hope that 10 years from now it reminds us of that special day. As opposed to having the guest book sitting/ hiding in a drawer

we are doing this too. We got an 18 x 20 matte, with an 11 x 14 picture in it. The matte was $31 a Michaels, way cheaper than what our photographer would have done for us.You can actually buy this pre made one at Michales, it has the whole and the pen already with it. With a 50 % off coupon it would be about $20

I like this idea... do you place a picture prior to the wedding?  Is it blank until after the wedding, in which, you would use a wedding photo in it?  I think if I were to do this, I might use our engagement photo.

Does anyone have a cute poem to go with the matting that everyone signs? My original plan was a photo album of our e-pics for our guests to sign, and I have a cute poem for that, but when I found out we didn't have rights to our E-pics, well, needless to say the fun, semi-cheap option of doing that went out the window!! So now I need to replace that original poem with something else! The poem is framed and was going to be sitting next to the guest book.Thanks!!
