Wedding Hula

Hey ladies,Just wondering how many of you were planning to dance for your husband on your wedding day?I am planning to dance to Kalua, but I can't decide if I should do this during the ceremony or at the reception. My fiancee is going to sing something for me at the wedding itself so it would be nice to surprise him then, but I can't decide! What do you think?

Re: Wedding Hula

  • I am not planning to dance, but I'm an awful dancer. I'd only do it during the ceremony if it's a religious or cultural ritual that means something to you and your family. I think I might also put something in the program in this case so people understand the significance. If it's not a sacred ritual, I would do it at the reception. But I'd be careful not to have too many "spotlight" dances and songs, because between your dance, FI's song, the First Dance and any Parent Dances, that's a LOT of time devoted to stopping the party and having your guests focus on you.
