black dinner plates...??

I really want square plates, but our rental place only has the square ones in black. My colors are apple green and raspberry.... so I'm not sure I could incorporate black plates into this. Is anyone else using black dinner plates? Does anyone have any inspiration photos with black plates that you could link me to for ideas?TIA!!!

I think black plates look cool! You could use colored table linens in the raspberry and apple green, and the black will really look good with them. But I'd have to say, go with the color you want and don't worry about the shape, or go with the most logical, practical decision and move on. Because when it's all said and done, all these litte details, like what shape the plates are, you will not even notice them on your wedding day, and the guests won't really care one way or the other.

Describe, in as much detail as you can, the plates used in the last five weddings you attended.  Go!Can't remember?  Don't feel bad, neither can anyone else.  This is one of those details that only you and other brides will notice.  Hell, I can't tell you what kind of plates my sister used in her wedding last year, and I was in full planning mode then.Just go with whatever's easiest.  If there's no other black in your decor, no one will really notice or care.

I've only been to one wedding in recent years and they had clear plastic plates. THOSE I remember! I just got off the phone with the rentals place. I think I will just go with white and round. You're right - who really cares?
