To flip flop or not to flip flop

Hi everyone - who has gone the flip-flop route for their guests at the reception? if so, where did you buy them? What sizes did you get? How many of each size? TIA!!

Re: To flip flop or not to flip flop

  • I did them.  Our guests are the type to end up barefoot at the end of everything, so it was really popular.  In other groups, people aren't such fans. I got a variety of sizes from Old Navy when they did the $1/pair sale.
  • As a guest, I'd never take off my shoes and wear flip flops, unless it was a casual beach wedding. Even then I would have worn something suitable for sand. I realize it's a popular thing to do, but I'm an old fuddy duddy, pantyhose wearing mom. Of a generation that believes guests should know how to dress themselves for an occasion. If I have to change my clothes or take off my shoes at a special event. then I obviously didn't make very good decisions on what to wear. But I do wear flip flops at home, or in casual setting, so I might take a pair home. If my feet were killing me, I might wear them on the way home, or if I was staying to help clean up. I just wouldn't wear them AT a special occasion/event.
  • I often take my shoes off to dance at weddings, so I would appreciate the flip-flops.  I'm debating on doing them for my guests because the floor of our venue is wood and I'm worried about them getting splinters.
  • Our guests loved them - We put 45 pairs out at 10:30pm (had 150 guests total earlier) and all but 5 were gone at the end
