Reception hall!!!!!

My reception is taking place at a country club on a golf course so it's very beautiful but right when you walk in the country club there is kind of a "entrance/coat hang up room" The building is kind of old. I want it to be beautiful right when people walk in and since that is the first thing they will see, I'm not sure what to do with that room. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!!! =)

    Honestly, unless you come up with something really inexpensive, I don't see this as worthy of spending lots of $$ on. As a guest, I'd much rather have great food/drinks/music that worry about whether the coat room looks beautiful. If you're spending a lot of money to "pretty it up", I wouldn't. I'd pay the extra for another killer appetizer, though. Your guests will be in that area for 30 seconds: walking through on the way to the reception. I don't think anyone will really care whether the coat room is beautiful or not.
