how to include the air force in details?

Hey guys,I am just starting to plan some ideas- and I really really want to have things that have to do with my FI being in the air force. He is currently in the last year for ROTC air force at school and then will get his job soon- so he is really excited and so i familes....any idea? Like wedding favors or something? We are planning a winter wedding if it helps and it will be at least a year and a half from now.I just don't want the wedding to only show my favorite things but his too. Thanks

  • Maybe you could make small paper airplanes to use as place cards. I also read about one wedding where people threw paper airplanes at the couple as they left the church after the ceremony (check with your ceremony site to see if things can be thrown, especially since paper would need to be cleaned up afterward so as not to litter).

  • You could make a grooms cake with the Air Force symbol. Also maybe you could order AF patches and give those as favors or something cute like that.  I saw on the Knot that some one used those little wooden airplanes as escort cards and that was the guests favors. It was really cute and you cam paint them like blue and silver for the AF or something :)
  • You could do Air Force cookies or something as favors.  You could also have an Air Force themed groom's cake.  Also, they have cake toppers with the bride in her gown and the groom in an Air Force uniform.
  • I went to a wedding that had airplanes as the cake toppers because they met at work ( they both worked with old air force planes at a museum)
