Cake Topper Idea

Hi ladies,

My fiance and I met online, and I saw this cake topper and thought it was cute and appropriate:

My mom thinks it's weird because it's just a piece of metal and suggested we put it on our sweetheart table.

I just wanted to hear what some of you thought

If you both like it there is no reason it cannot go on your cake.

This is one of the details that my FI could not care less about and told me to do whatever I want.  Was just hoping for some outside POV's on it.

If you both like it, use it.  Me personally, I don't care for it.  I think it's mostly because it's metal.  I think if it were "softer" looking, I'd be ok with it.

I think it's cute and fits into your story. If you and FI are both on the same page, I'd use it on the cake.

I think it would be cute to use it somewhere in your reception, but I don't care for it as a cake topper.  It just seems like it's too plain and harsh to decorate a cake.

If your cake is a little more rustic/casual, I think it would look good, but if it's more elegant, it would look out of place and I would use it elsewhere in the reception.

Use it! It says a lot about you two as a couple. You could soften it with a flower.

I agree that setting some flowers around it on the cake would go along way. You could also consider blinging it out with rhinestones, pearls, or glitter to give it a more dressy look.

I agree its cute could pretty it up a bit if you want to rinestones flowers perals paint(?). The only thing i see happing is the older people not getting it. It being a internt and texting thing. But so cute.

the way I see it...is if the 2 of you are happy with it then scew everyone else! my fiance & I are having one custom made to look like the two of is wearing  our favortie thing which is a Red Wing hockey jersey...& that represents us....if that represents you than go for it!!
