Inexpensive Wedding Venue In Cetral FL / St. Augustine FL

My Fiance and I just moved into our first home, and are trying to budget for our wedding at the same time. We have about a year to plan until the big day, but honestly cost means a lot to us. We are estimating 100-120 guests at our wedding.

My DREAM is to get married in St. Augustine Fl, but i know that most places int he area are super pricey, so we are extending our search to the Seminole-Orange-Volusia- and Lake county areas (otherwise known as most of central Fl),

Any help would be appriciated!!

If you look into the Fernandina Beach/Amelia Island/Yulee, GA region of northeastern Florida you may find some great venues. We have a summer home on Amelia Island and there are many beautiful places for weddings there. Not all are pricey, and the feel is similar to St. Augustine (though I think AI is much prettier).

Look on your local boards for more advice, though.

I'm getting married at St. Johns Golf & Country Club in St. Augustine...it's a really nice venue and it was the cheapest I found while looking. There's a very small venue rental fee (~$500) and then you just pay for food and alcohol (which is also a good price). I'm estimating 80-90 guests but I know the venue can hold over 100. We're on a budget too and it's the most affordable I'vd found. Also, the event person there is great! She's really on top of things and always gets back to me super fast! I'd check them out!
