Okay everyone, I am in a very complicated situation. My Dad is the pastor of the church where I am getting married (he's performing the ceremony). My reception is also on church property. My Dad, as the pastor, has set very strict standards and is not allowing a first dance or father daughter dance because he does not condone dancing on church property.
It's a great disappointment to me, but I wouldn't dream of changing the ceremony sight and reception venue over this.
Having said that, I'm trying to think of something very creative that would symbolize the same things the father/daughter and first dance do. Something that would be just as sweet and meaningful. Any suggestions?
