Chair Sashes

We have satin (I think they're satin) sashes to go on the chair covers, but the sashes sag. They look really sloppy. They are actually a strip of material that we have to tie into a bow. Any ideas on how to make them hold their bow shape? We thought of hairspray and spray starch, but 50 sashes might use a LOT of hairspray.

You may have to do more of a wide knot rather than bow.

Otherwise, if you're able to do so without ruining the fabric, tape some wire to the back of the sashes. It will allow you to tie bows and let them keep shape.

You could try adding tissue paper to the inside of each bow with the spray starch and ironing them before you tie them.
