Northern California Venues

My fiance and I live in the Sacramento area are looking to find a Ceremony/Reception venue in the northern California area.  We're having trouble finding venues that aren't otherwise listed online.  We'd like to be married outdoors.  If anyone has any suggestions as to some nice places we're open to suggestions!  The date we'd like is August 13th 2011.  We enjoy coastal areas and wineries. =)  Any help would be amazing.

  • Post this on a local NoCal board.  This board is international and we can't help with specific questions like this.  I'm in NJ and don't know much about NoCal.

Look to your left.  Drop downs to local wedding boards are there.  GL
"Trix, it's what they/our parents wanted. Why so judgemental? And why is your wedding date over a year and a half ago? And why do you not have a groom's name? And why have you posted over 12,000 posts? And why do you always say mean things to brides?" palegirl146
  • if you are looking to have a wedding with around 80 people or less, check out gatherings in monterey, ca.  my fiance and i were looking into getting married in monterey, but have now changed our mind and are getting married in mi.  what i loved about this venue is that it is a place where they can take care of everything!  no decorations needed because the reception site is already decorated, and they can take care of the ceremony too!

    happy planning!

I am from the Yuba City area (30 minutes N of Sac).  There is a great place in Biggs, CA called the Victorian Rose ( I am doing my wedding there in June of 2001).  Biggs is about 45 minutes north of Sacramento.  This is for an outdoor wedding and the place, owner and prices are exceptional.  You can do everything including your cake, food, dance floor, linens, flowers etc here and the owner is more into making sure you have a beautiful wedding than getting rich and is more than fair in pricing.

  • There's this fantastic lodge in Foresthill (18 miles from Auburn), beautiful ceremony location if you don't require a church setting.

My finance and I have been looking for a venue for a while now. (We live in Sacramento) It seems like the vast majority of locations are beautiful and picturesque but they're ALL outdoors. I don't necessarily want to be married in a church or anything really formal but I just want something romantic and beautiful but INDOORS.
Our date is set for sometime in the FALL 2013. I realize we do have some time but still it would be nice to see a light at the end of this tunnel.

Does anyone have any suggestions? PLEASE share your input. :)
