DJ!

Currently booked The DJ Crew for our wedding and I could not be any happier. Every single time I called or had questions, John was on the phone with me for over 30 minutes each time. Give them a call and let him tell you their GREAT prices! If you do decide to go with them, tell them my name, Erin Abels, and you will get 50 dollars off!!

Re: DJ!

  • You sound a little like a vendor, and vendors are not allowed to advertise here.  If you're actually planning your wedding, I will add that I recommend waiting until you've actually had your wedding to post reviews.  I hope everything is as amazing as you plan, but sometimes the vendors that seem really awesome turn out to have issues.
  • I'm actually not vendor,Im a real bride planning her wedding. And I don't need to have my wedding to see how great of a DJ they actually were. If you book and tell them my name you get 50 dollars off....just thought someone might like to take advantage of some money knocked off their price. Thanks for your input though.

Yeah, sorry, you also posted this on a local board.  Highly suspicious when you have no other posts out there except for a glowing vendor recommendation.   And if you're not a vendor, it sounds like there's something in it for you for any referrals.
  • Yeah, you're right, that was my first post. I also have one about asking for ideas for music for my Christmas wedding. Funny how hostile you women can be on here. Im new to this as I just got engaged in July and am still in the process of making my website and everything so before you attack someone, calm down and maybe send me a private message?

You aren't being attacked.  It is being pointed out that your posts sound suspiciously vendor-like.   People will figure it out pretty soon if you are a vendor, because you likely won't participate in the rest of the board topics and get involved.   If that is the case, your posts will likely start to get flagged.   that is not the same as being attacked.
  • No one is attacking you.  The reason I suggest waiting until you have your wedding before posting your review is that sometimes things come up, and depending on how professional the vendor is, s/he may not handle them very well.  We had that experience with a caterer--we thought she was awesome based on the tasting and our interactions with her, but something happened that her business was not equipped to handle before our wedding, and we ended up having some problems.  Pre-wedding, I would have recommended her to anyone, but now, not so much.
  • I get what you are saying...like I said I am new to this site and still trying to figure everything out. I just booked the venue and DJ so I was excited about it...that's all. And I thought it would be a good thing to put out there that they offer a discount. In the end, its the bride and groom's decision on what they want to do. Just was giving them a suggestion to check them out.
