I am getting married in August. My colors are black, ivory, and sage green, and the reception is at a golf club that has taupe walls with white trim and medium blue carpeting. My bridesmaids are wearing long black dresses with sage green sashes and will likely carry a bouquet that incorporates shades of bright pink.
I was planning on ivory striped satin tablecloths with black striped satin napkins, black chiavari chairs with ivory cushions, and my invitation designer is creating menu cards and table number cards on shimmery ivory paper with black writing and sage green swirls. The favor boxes are black with silver writing, one at each place setting.
I am having a hard time deciding on what colors should be in the centerpieces. I want them to "pop" since everything else is pretty subdued but I do not just want ivory and green. I have to meet with the florist again next week, but at our initial meeting over a year ago he suggested some tall and some shorter centerpieces.
Do you think a centerpiece with medium to bright pink flowers (roses) and maybe some green hydrangeas (although may clash with sage green) would work? Do you think I need ivory in the centerpieces as well to tie everything together?
I have already done an extensive Google search and have not found too many photos similar to my color scheme, and I want to get the "big picture" in mind before I finalize everything. Any help/advice/photos would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
