Tables/chairs for a cocktail reception

We met with our caterer/venue and it turns out they do have high tables we can use for our cocktail reception. (Originally we had thought they only had low tables). As the ceremony is in the same room, we need 100 chairs for all guests for the ceremony. However, for our cocktail reception immediately afterwards, the possibilities are:

Half (5) high tables with no seating, half (5) low tables with seats (enough seating for 50 of approx. 100 guests)
OR
Half high tables with no seating, half low tables with seats and extra chairs around the perimeter of the rooms, so everyone has a seat (all 100 chairs)
OR
The above choice, but only a handful of extra chairs, so not everyone has a seat, but chances are not everyone will be seating at the same time. (75 chairs)
OR
Stick with all low tables (which was our original plan) (100 chairs)
OR
Ask people to sit on the floor (no chairs!) Tongue out

We are doing a 3 hour cocktail reception in three weeks...we met with our wedding coordinator and we all agreed that this is a Cocktial Party not a sit down dinner...our suggestion is to do about 60/40...some low tables with seating for  4 or 8/10 (60%)...the other tables are hightops  commonly used for cocktail hours....you want to encourage mingling- get the family and friends to have a reason to meet with and chat with one another...we have are having 2 bars, 40 min of past hourdourves with a few picking set ups ( veggies, medditerranian cheeses & meats) , then sushi bar w/2 chefs, 2 carving stations, & pasta station, then cupcakes & sundae station with coffee bar....we hired an acoustic band to go with our cocktail vibe....i'll post after our reception to let all know how it goes...oh and to also keep them entertained, we have our photograpgher doing a photo booth that will also serve as their Favors :)  Hope this helps...
