We have decided to do a donation to the American Cancer Society instead of favors. 

I would love everyones thoughts our other ideas. Do you think our guests would be upset about not taking something home with them?? I know it seems silly to think they would but not everyone feels or thinks the same.

We had talked about doing a fortune cookie and the in side script saying something like: 

In loving memory of those who have fought and lost, in loving appreciation for those who have fought and won, and in loving support of those who are still fighting. A donation has been made to the American Cancer Society in honor of the guests of our special day. 


THANKS LADIES!!

    Honestly, I do not think anyone will mind not taking home a $1-$5 gift.  They come to see you, sweetie.  You do what's right in your heart.  Your guests will appreciate your kindness.

    We always wind up tossing out the favors eventually, I feel like they can be a waste of money so I LOVE the idea of the donations

    People will not care if they don't get the favors. 

    However, it would be better to just donate all the money to the charity (rather than spending it on the cookies) and keeping it to yourself.  People will wonder about why you felt the need to tell them about the donation.
