Hi everyone,
I'm at a loss here and hope you can help...
We're not very formal people and want to keep things as simple as possible and figured a cocktail reception would be the way to go.
We're having an evening ceremony and the reception will follow at a close-by hotel, where all our family/friends will be staying, well most...we have the entire place, all rooms are booked by our group.
Anyway...
how many hor d'euvres should we count per person and what's a good number for different types? We're more than likely going to have stations rather than servers. My fiance wants to have a bbq at some point...after the finger foods have worn off...does that seem appropriate?
Also, music? I don't picture much dancing at this type of reception, but it is a party after all...there will be no doubt a bunch that will want to get up and shake it.
Any and all suggestions are GREATLY appreciated!
