Seating Chart

I'm trying to work out my seating chart and have a question.

We're having a sweetheart table and then 2 bridal party tables. We are having the bridal party members dates sit with them at the table (as I would be extremely annoyed if I couldn't sit with my date at a wedding!). So my dilemma is do I do the bridal party tables as 8 and 8, or do I add our non-bridal party friends to the tables and make them 12 and 12? Our venue has different tables where we can do 8's 10's or 12's and I am just not sure which route I should take.

If you want them as just bridal party with SOs then do tables of 8. Then for the rest of your tables decide if you want 8, 10, or 12 people sitting per table.

I would do 8 and 8. Even though some of the banquet tables can technically sit 12, it can be very crowded. We did a mock-up with 12 place settings and there wasn't much elbow room, so we always sat 2 less at each table than it could hold just for guests' comfort.
