Candy Buffet?

I want to have a candy buffet for my wedding. My wedding colors are pink and grey. I purchased silver pails and thought of putting different kinds of pink candy. I also considered having a few other options such as nuts and pink cookies. Do you think it's ok to just have a candy buffet, and not the traditional food for the reception? My wedding is at 2pm.
