Mariachi For Our Wedding in May

Hi Ladies & Gentelmen,

Does anyone have any good Maricahi conections in the Van Nuys, Ca Area?

Do you know how much they might charge for just an hour or two???

Our wedding is on a friday, and I know I might be able to get a cheaper quote because its on a weekday... Thank you in advance for any comments or sugestions

I can't tell you one because this is a national board and I live in Montana.  I don't think people here know what that is.  You should check the OC LA boards.

But I will say I'm jealous.  I LOVE mariachi!  When I taught in CA, I went to quince's all the time for my students.  It was so fun.

However, I too am INSANELY jealous lol I absolutely love mariachi, but my fiance made this face that said "wtf you must be joking...right?" when I mentioned it...so I let it go, afterall it's our day :)</p>

When I saw your message I was LOL!!! My fiance was actually ok with it. Is was his MOTHER that was making faces and not liking the idea Oh well its not her wedding..haa haa She said when they play she would get up and go to the bathroom WTF! PIst me off at first but now I'm ok...haa haa people I tell you. I'm not tring to be Bridzilla, but damn can't they get that its in my Culture and I love that type of music..? Oh well... I'll keep looking hopefully I dcan find some... For at least an hour! Have a good weekend

I get trying to incorporate others ideas/suggestions as well, but it is your wedding day, so ultimately what you and your fiance decide is what you want and other opinions shouldn't really have any weight on that.

Luckily for me, my fiance is really helpful and wants to be involved in all of the planning and such...I'm going to *try* and surprise him by getting one of his favorite local bands to come play at the reception for an hour, but I'm not going to hold my breath on that one lol
