Whille looking for reception venues, we visited an art gallery that allows rentals for receptions. My fiance has decided that this is the only place that he wants for our venue. The problem is, our guest list is 150, but each (divided) gallery only seats 75. We would have to divide our guests up into two separate rooms. The rooms are right across from each other, but they are completely divided. I would like to have a seated buffet dinner, but some have suggested heavy hors d'oeuvres and high tables (with no chairs). How would we accomodate the older guests in this scenario? What about chairs, for when people are tired of standing? Any and all suggestions and advice would be most appreciated! I do not want my fiance to have his dream crushed.
