Do the sashes have to match the napkins?

Hey guys...I'm pretty terrible with this wedding stuff so I thought I'd ask here.  I want to do champagne sashes on my white chair covers (wedding colors are champagne and dark purple).  I found a vendor who does very affordable covers/sashes, so I was wondering...can I do a white chair cover, champagne sash, and white napkin?  Our venue has "free" colored napkins but a) I don't think my venue's colors will match the vendor's colors and b) I don't want to pay the chair cover vendor extra for napkins when they're already free at the hall.  The chair covers at my hall are $3.50 and the chair cover vendor has them for $1.65 so it is a big savings.  We're reaching the top of our budget so I'm trying to save where I can.  Thoughts?

I think white napkins would look fine! If you are worried about it, you can do what I chose to do, tie a ribbon in the same color as your sashes around your white napkins. I am using organza ribbon since I will have organza sashes, but if I was going to have satin sashes, I'd use satin ribbon. That's just me though. You can get ribbon pretty cheap and at most you'd need 6" for each place setting.

Who is going to put the covers on the chairs and take them off afterwards?  If you are expecting the venue to do it, find out if there's a charge.  It may be simpler overall to just get them from the venue.  Don't forget to factor in shipping charges.
