Color crazy

How do I put these colors togather in my wedding red, black, light gray and white

Re: Color crazy

  • Here are my thoughts:

Bridesmaids in shades of grey w/ red shoes and a pretty red lip & nail color
Groomsmen in black tuxedos or suits w/ grey vests and ties
Red Florals; bouquets, centerpieces, boutonnieres, petals on the aisle
White table linens with a silver organza overlay and either red or black napkins
Silver accents; napkin holders, candle sticks, picture frames, ribbon on favors, etc.
White candles, all different sizes (i.e. votives, tapers, pillars, etc.)

There are many options to combine this color palette. However, I suggest keeping the overall look in the white, silver and grey family and then using the red and black as accent colors.

Just my opinion, but red everywhere is overwhelming. Saving the red for special pops of color like shoes, flowers, lip and nail color, ribbon on the favors, or even a red signature drink at the cocktail hour ~like a pomegranate hibiscus martini, keeps that color interesting and your overall event look is still that of a bright and beautiful wedding. I would even go as far as only using red flowers. All different shapes and textures, from roses to dahlias, to mini carnations, using many flowers of the same color is always gorgeous and interesting.
