BEFORE I hear any flack about how "surprise dances" aren't "in" anymore, let me say this has nothing to do with those specifically
So here are my questions:
I have yet to talk to my fiance about this because it's a sensitive subject, and before I do so I just wanted to hear thoughts/suggestions on the matter. His mom passed away just over a year ago. They were super close and he was her only child so their relationship was really special. I know that he's really going to miss out on the Mother/Son dance, but what are alternatives you may have seen done or your general thoughts on this? I would love love love to dance with my dad, but I don't want it to highlight the fact that his mom won't be there (or his dad for that matter, because he passed away about 9 months ago).
My other question(?) is this; Eddy is absolutely going to be involved in every step of the planning, it's what we both want. However, I want to surprise him with something at the reception. I mean, I got the ring and the engagement as my surprise, doesn't he deserve a little somethin' somethin' too? I was thinking of getting a punk band or something to play for a little bit of the reception, but, again, I'd like your thoughts too
Thanks ladies!
