Peacock Blue

Hello everyone...thinking of doing peacock blue (that's the only way I know how to describe it) as my main color for my wedding.  We are getting married on Folly Beach in June 2010.  What are some of the thoughts on this color?  Am I totally out of my mind to try and do a jewel tone during the summer?  Also, does anyone have any ideas on decor to incorporate this color?

I love that color and there's a ton you can do with it.  Just start looking at pictures and make it what you want it.  Any color is fine for any season.  I found all of these just by going to Google Images and typing in peacock theme wedding.  You can also do a search of dark blue wedding.  Or blue wedding.

Also go to the main Knot page and click on Wedding Planning, then photo galleries and look at blue details there.

My fi an I are getting married in June of '11, ad we're doing a peacock-themed wedding. We went with the mermaid green as our main color, but we're incorporating peacock feathers into the bouquets, hairpieces, and centerpieces.

I am considering this color scheme as well using navy as the main color and still waffling on the other colors I would use.

I am using a peacock-ish blue as my color for July '10 wedding. The bridemaids are jcrew "vintage blue" color.

I love the color, but I am having trouble matching it easily. For example I haven't been able to find linen or ribbons in my area that match.

I also can't seem to find ties that are the right shade of blue!

But the color is gorgeous!
