I am planning to have a candy/snack buffet during our cocktail hour, as guests arrive to the reception location (from the ceremony.) It sounds like most candy buffets are set up at the end of the night, as a treat when guests leave. I thought that as people get a drink and mingle, they could grab a snack. The candy/snack buffet will be set up (and replenished) throughout the night. Do you think it will ruin people's appetites or be too weird to have candy before dinner?! I am a big snacker, so I am all for treats! Anyways, my snack buffet will have at least 4 kinds of candy (so far, hershey kisses and M&Ms) and probably 2 or 3 other snacks (such as pretzels or cracker jacks.) Thoughts?! Decent during cocktail hour or too weird??
