Hi! We decided to go with Malibu Blue (David's Bridal color). It's basically a turqouise color and we are accenting with yellow flowers. The reason we are using this color is that when we went to pick our linens we just loved the color. Our theme is a subtle tropical so it would give it a nice Caribbean flare. Now, I'm trying to find dresses in that same color.I've found dresses elsewhere which don't come in that color so I'm getting a little bummed. I will probably end up having to order from David's Bridal, which I was really trying not to do. But if I have to it will work out fine I'm sure.
But now I'm all of a sudden thinking it's gonna be too much blue! We are having white floor length tableclothes with the blue overlay, white chair covers with blue bow, then the girls will be in blue. I'll be honest when I go to a wedding I always think how nice it looks but I can't say if I've ever noticed that the dresses matched the tablecloths.
Am I over thinking this? The room is not crazy big, but will have about 14 tables. It's a relatively dark, rustic room so my goal is to make it more upbeat and springy with these colors. What do you think? Too much of the same blue? Should I use different shades? I'm thinking that would make it too busy though. I thought I had this under control now I'm second guessing! So hard to imagine what it's all going to look like when it comes together.
