escort card help

Just wondering what is the easiest and most efficient to print the escort cards as far as labeling them with "who chose what meal selection" for the dinner. Hope that makes sense!!

thanks!

Re: escort card help

  • Usually the caterer or venue puts a color coded mark or dot on the back of the escort card (e.g. red for meat, yellow for chicken, blue for fish, green for veggie, etc.) to let the wait staff know which entree to serve at that place setting.

  • Also, I forgot top ask....on the invite/dinner card, how is that stated?
  • For this, you would list the selections on the response card.

<div>You will have to ask your venue if they have a prefered method for you to indicate this.  Our venue required us to mark each card; they did not do this for us.  We used small stickers: blue for beef, yellow for chicken, silver for fish, and red for children's meal.  You could also use ribbons, decals, different colored cards/borders, etc.  It should just be something that is easy for the venue staff to see at a quick glance.</div><div>
</div><div>Also, since it seems that you need to know who is having which entree, I would modify the RSVP card wording from PPs suggestion.</div><div>

  • You could also do a different number of rhinestores or embelishments on each card.  If you accent color is red do one red rhinestone for beef, two for chicken, three for vegitarian, etc.
  • Great!! thanks for the ideas!
  • I personally think different colors/emblems are easier (whether they be ribbon, stickers, dots).  Keep in mind that in most situations you will need to do 2 meal indicators on one card since you usually will have 1 card/couple

I was at a friends wedding recently where they had a photobooth and they placed a slip in the photo holder that had the guest name. Their wedding colors were Fuschia and Royal Purple. For one entree they used a fancy fuschia stamp on the slip of paper and the other they used a purple stamp, or no stamp. You could do something similar with individual escort cards if you don't have too many guests.
