I am seriously considering instead of have the traditional tiered wedding cake, i want to have several different flavor 2 layer round cakes, pound cakes, & pies (all homemade). We would cut into a cake that me & my fiance would love & have a smaller cake that would be the top layer for our cake topper. I am thinking about setting all these cakes on a table at different heights & have the "top layer" cake set much higher in the middle & twds the back. any brides do this? what were the problems that you had? and how was the reaction from your guests?
