Budget centerpiece ideas wanted

Okay, so our colors are blue/purple with gold accents and maybe white. I'm trying to figure out ideas for centerpieces that could have rabbits and wolves included. I thought about something like http://www.thesweetestoccasion.com/2012/04/diy-bunny-placecards/ but I don't know where to find rabbits AND wolves. I can find rabbits but not wolves. Any ideas for cute centerpieces that don't break the bank? Candles can't be used because it will be an afternoon wedding, not evening.

I love those little gold bunnies and I've found some little wolf and rabbit figurines on ebay but they're a little too pricy. (about $10 for both...we don't really want to spend a lot on decor.)

Some floral ideas I've sort of tossed around are maybe mason jar vases with wildflower-like arrangements, bud vases with a single flower, or maybe a group of one type of flower.

Ideas?

What I have:
yellow and white crepe flowers
friends who are willing to make things.

Please, don't suggest any ideas that are incredibly time consuming like "hand make 3000 paper flowers". I'm looking for creative but not maddening. Thank you so much!

  • crepe  flower petals........then place grass in containers...dollar store for containers
  • We are using wine bottles and we painted them and will have baby's breath coming out of the top

  • We are using bouquets of baby's breath in our centerpieces...very budget friendly and a gorgeous look.

  • Our florist used low round bowls filled with water.  There were 2-3 stems of tulips wrapped around the inside of the bowl, then he threw a few petals and a floating candle on top, and a few more petals on the table.   It looked awesome.  I think it was like $6-7 each.   Insanely cheap.

Not sure about bunnies or wolves.  I think it would easier to use blue/purple flowers in the centerpieces, with maybe white candles?  Then incorporate bunnies/wolves elsewhere.
