Venue Contract?'s

Does anybody have advice for writing up the contract with your venue and what to make sure is included?

I will be doing this on my own because of scheduling conflicts with my FI. I am very nervous about this, I want to make sure we get what we need with out them taking advantage of me being there with out him; he thinks they won't negotiate as well with out him being there.

I bought a book written be The Knot -- I think it's called  a book of lists or something like that, and it has a lot of good info in it.
