favors..

How much are you spending on favors? Like per person? And do they tye in with your theme?
We have a great idea of what we want to give and it doesnt tye into our theme but tyes into our heritage, which we are both really proud of. There going to be like $5 a pieace... a little less i think. So about 500$. Is that to cheap?
Thanks!

Re: favors..

  • Well favors aren't even required, so there's that.

"Expensive" or "cheap" really depends on YOU and your budget. We can't answer that for you. I don't think they have to tie in with a theme. If you like the favors you're thinking of, then go for it.

FWIW, our favor was a candy buffet. Between the candy and getting it set up, it probably cost us around $400 total.

  • We spent less than $5 per person.  Our favors were small jars of blueberry jam that were made locally (we got married in Maine).  Our theme was garden-y (loosely speaking, we didn't have a strong theme going).

Favors are not required.  If you want to have them, I think spending whatever is in your budget is fine.  Edible favors are always good.  People tend to leave little trinkets with the bride and groom's names and wedding dates behind.
  • ok great! Thank you!
Yes, they are a little pun to me being irish and him being italian, and they are edible. I can deff say that I have left tons of little photo frames/votive holders/etc at the table before, lol.
However the last wedding I went to they have champagne glasses as favors and i scooped up like 5 of those!

  • we are spending about $2 a favor.

  • Ours will probably be 6 per person.
  • We're probably spending $10 but $5 is definitely not cheap.
  • We're donig cupcakes as favors (not having a wedding cake), and to have them individually boxed and delivered will be less than $3 per person...and this is from a trendy local bakery.   I think $5/person is just fine, and a little on the expensive side, but if you can afford it then go for it.

  • we are inviting 310 people to our wedding and spending about >27 cents on each one.
  • We're doing a combined favour/escort card, and it's going to be edible - I haven't quite worked out the details yet, but prices for my three different options range from 75 cents to $2.50.

  • I spent $103 on 300 pens. They said "(our names), Write For Each Other, 11-11-11". They were on each setting with a little fill in tag which was our guest book/well wishes. When we cleaned up we didn't see any pens left behind. Actually, I had set a bunch out on a separate table since I had so many extra and those were mostly gone as well. Good pens from Bic as well.
