It could be worse.Years ago my MOH (who works in finance with CFAs who have little to no sense of humor) wrote me this email saying she had to rush home to clean her apartment after work because she was probably going to hook up after the bars that night......and sent it to her boss instead of me.  A little "lol" is nothing to worry about.

Yeahhhh, that sucks! I would die if that happened. That's why it's best to try & not use work email for personal, lol. Your OBX trip is coming up, isn't it? It was SO great down there. I definitely can see what all of the hype is about & why people continue to go back - it's a completely different atmosphere than NJ beaches. I loved it!

Definately could be worse! My colleague wrote an email bashing the boss' management style and thought she sent it to me. Guess who actually received it? Yep, the boss.

Oh crap! What was the boss' reaction to that?!

It was kind of weird actually. She didn't say anything directly to my co-worker about it, but we know it went to her because when she stepped out of her office, my co-worker went in and saw that it was indeed in her email box, and had been opened. However, they definately have kind of a kind of strained relationship now. The boss comes down hard on my co-worker for a lot of stuff lately and is just generally nasty.

Or you could be me, and have gotten an email from your FMIL that was intended for her friend, in which she bashed ME... yeah. Well, not bashed, but close enough. Let's just say, it's awkward now.
